EVR Ghost Chocolate

This flavour uses East Van Roasters leftover cacao shells (the outside of the cacao bean) from their chocolate production. East Van Roasters sources their cacao beans from the Pangoa Co-op in Peru, which are organic and fair trade.

Cacao shells used to be seen as a waste product, but are gaining popularity as a tea!

We heat the cacao shells until the oils start to release, then steep in milk and our ice cream base for five days to intensify the flavour. We then strain away the shells, which leaves some residual nibs in the base (the little flakes you see). It results in a delicious light chocolate flavour!
