FOH Shift Leader

The Position:

The FOH Shift Leader is a key contributor to the Front of House operations. They provide support, direction and guidance to staff on shift, and follow procedures to ensure efficient shift operations and outcomes. The Shift Leader has a close working relationship with the manager and understands the overall goals and functions of the business.

Key position responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Ensuring completion of all open and close tasks
• Coordinating the team (assigning daily planner tasks, break schedules, & shift duties) and setting expectations on shift
• Handling guest complaints professionally & empathetically
• Communicating effectively with EIC staff across all departments
• Training new staff, providing feedback & direction
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop & correct functionality of equipment
• Extra tasks assigned to support your managers

You are:

• Efficient and meticulous
• An enthusiastic people person and a team player
• Comfortable with repetitive motion tasks
• Self-driven and comfortable working independently, as well as following direction
• Food Safe certified (preferable)

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of supervisor or key-holder experience, or equivalent
• Availability on evenings until 11 PM and weekends, for minimum of 3-4 shifts/week
• Must be able to perform the physical tasks required of this job; including but not limited to lifting (20 kg), repetitive movement, and standing for the entire shift
• Due to food-handling requirements, employees must keep nails short, clean, and unpolished. Nail polish (including gel or acrylic), nail extensions, and any embellishments are strictly prohibited.
