Rhubarb Oat Crumble
We soak our locally sourced rhubarb in sugar overnight, then slow roast it with some red wine and vanilla to intensify the colour and flavour. We mix this in with our ice cream base and then add house-made oat crumble, made from baking gluten-free oats with brown sugar and butter until it is lightly golden!
We are using gluten-free oats in our crumble this year and even though those oats are processed in a facility that does not process wheat/gluten (which is how they’re certified gluten-free), our facility does process wheat/gluten products so there is still a tiny possibility of trace gluten contaminant in this product. We do our very best to keep allergens such as gluten apart from non-allergen products, but the nature of gluten (flour floats around like dust) means there will always be the risk of slight contamination in anything we make.
