Pride and Joy Sammie
In August 2021 we wanted to create a nostalgic 90s breakfast cereal sammie, like Fruity Pebbles. This is
how Cereal Milk was born. The test ice cream ended up in the production meeting, and the exec team
loved it so much it was fast tracked and Cereal Milk was launched in February 2022.The inspiration for
our 90’s nostalgic cereal sammie was quickly becoming a Pride Flag sammie.
It prompted us to start creating cereal-like flavours. A lot of research went into finding Suncore
Supercolour Powder, an all natural food dye supplier, an American Woman-owned company. They use
vegetables and plants for their dyes.
The flavours are:
Red – Cherry
Orange – Orange
Yellow – Lemon
Green – Lime
Blue – Sweet Cream
Purple – Black Currant
$1 from the sale of every sammie will be donated to the Catherine White Holman Wellness Centre, a BC
resource that provides low-barrier wellness services and legal services to Two-Spirit, transgender and
gender non-conforming people in a way that is respectful and celebratory of clients’ identity and
self-expression.
They offer free services to people who need them, regardless of factors like citizenship or health
insurance.
